There are many lists of movies on the internet that will inspire you to travel.
However this is my own list of movies that have inspired me for various reasons. It will have few movies common to other lists, but I have come up with this list myself. It has movies from both Hollywood and Bollywood.
The main reason I like all these movies is that they all have one theme in common, aside from the rest of the story drama ,romance etc.. All these movies are about how the main character goes travelling to a new place and discovers something about themselves. They escape from their monotonous lives to find new adventures.
I’m not asking you to quit your job, sell your belongings and go on an adventure as not everyone can do that.People have other priorities too. All I’m saying is that find time to travel and take a break from your monotonous lives at least once a year or as often as possible.
I’ve listed a quote from few of the movies that inspired me and hope it can inspire you too.I have also put a video of the movie trailer , so do check it out.
Into the wild:
Places featured: Alaska, Western U.S.A
This movie is based on a book that tells a real life story of a guy named Christopher McCandless who gave away his college fund of $25,000 and began traveling across the Western United States. He hitchhiked to the Stampede Trail in Alaska. Basically he wanted to prove that you don’t need material things to gain happiness. He found his happiness by travelling with bare necessities and meeting new people. I won’t reveal what happens further as don’t want spoilers for those who have not read the book or watched the movie. The reason this is one of my favorite movies is because it shows how he discovered himself and also how he impacted total strangers lives while on this journey.
